Is there any sort of spray I can use to deter my puppy from marking his territory in the house?

My puppy is about 7 months old and he's house broken. I just let him in from being outside to do his business and I left him in the room while I went to use the bathroom. When I came back I discovered he had marked his territory on the corner of the bed. Is this normal behavior for dogs? He tried once before to mark his territory in the same exact spot but was caught in time before he could go through with it. Is there any sort of spray or mixture I can make to deter him from marking "his" spot again?
