Have I been more of a father or brother to her?
I have been a positve male role model to my friend's 14 year old daughter, Barbara. I met her when she was 10yrs old back in 2004. My good friend Des ended up moving in with Angela (Barbs mom) and I'd go over to visit Des. Whenever I was over there Barb would be acting out (yelling swearing screaming, being defiant towards her mom). Ange told me it was because she had no father in her life and she also had adhd. I could related to Barbara on both counts, so we formed a bond, and I became a positive male role model for her. She gave me her number, and we arranged times that I could spend with her. The inital agreement was that I would come over weekdays 4:00pm-10:00pm, and she could call me on weeekends if I wasnt busy. This lasted up until end of grade 7, then it got reduced to every few days, then in grade 8 to every few weeks. Now in grade 9 it's only every few months. Am I more of a father or brother to her?
