I need to know what to do in a new school and how to be popular ?

i just moved to the u.s from syria...it's completely different here...i'm doing allright at school but i still havn't made any friends or boyriends, i dont know how to say no to someone who asked for my num..and how to refuse a movie outing,,,or how to get the guy i like just what do guys like here....tell me eveything you guys...i am pretty...i'm really different everybody is blond here almost so i kinda get attention but i need help..Ps i'm a quite person and a guy in my french cl he sometimes looks at me and then he asked"why are so quite?'''' i don't want to be known as that...help
