Is it constitutional for a military base to force a civilian (spouse) to participate in the national anthem?
Shouldn't that be voluntary rather than obligatory? I think you should be allowed to peacefully decline if you hold a politically neutral position and do not shun others for their nationalism. I think it is just umed that a spouse should have patriotism but that kind of violates one's beliefs and symbolic freedom of speech in my opinion. Are military bases basically dictatorships detaching us from our freedoms as American citizens? Should they be able to suspend your basic rights even if those rights pose no security concerns?
