Is it safe to give that copraphagia treatment to my cat to deter my dog from eating from the litter box?

I don't have anywhere that I can block the litterbox from her as she is small and can get pretty much anywhere. I tried moving the box up onto something higher but then my cat wouldn't use it. I have an automatic box with a tent cover but she still gets in there before it even starts cleaning and I have even found her tipping the collection tray cover back and eating right from there.
