Question about underwater exploration?

If we cant go to the deepest parts of the oceans because the water pressure would crush us...and since theres only a handfull of submarines that can visit the abyssal plains....then how come fish like the size of base and stuff live way deep down there and not get crushed...i have always wondered this...someone please answer
