Barbados or St Lucia?

My partner and I want to get married next year in the Carribean and we've narrowed it down to either Barbados or St Lucia. It will either be the Almond Beach Village or the Almond Smuggler's Cove. Our little boy will be almost 2 then, so we need the hotel to have facilities and activities for him during the day. I have read many brochures about them both, but I'm looking for a personal opinion from someone who has actually been there. Does anyone have experience of either or both these resorts? Any help?
